Allentown, PA, November 18, 2021– Ondra-Huyett Associates’ work on an industrial redevelopment site earns an Excellence in Construction® Eagle Award from Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern PA Chapter. The former RCA record factory and Scranton button factory was resurrected and has become home to the new Scranton Counseling Center and their over 200 staff and nearly 9,000 clients.
The project was challenged by a brief delay due to COVID19 pandemic and staffing shortages. Ultimately the Scranton Counseling Center opened its new home in April 2021 to a large crowd of local officials, staff and the Scranton community.
The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. A panel of industry experts served as the competition’s judges.
This award marks nearly 30 earned by Ondra-Huyett Associates from ABC Eastern PA Chapter.
