This fast-tracked 85,400 sf expansion of the Martin Guitar manufacturing facility nearly doubled their manufacturing and warehouse area. The new addition and parking areas incorporated all of the remaining available space between, above and around the existing manufacturing plant, while maintaining 16 hour – 6 day per week guitar production.
Among the many intricacies, the design required a wood acclimating room for tight control over humidity and temperature, and a massive fabrication and crane area positioned over the operating sawmill. The entire facility was designed and build in eight months without losing a day of operation … or missing a beat.
