CENiX Inc. is a startup company founding in 2000. It manufactures optoelectronic subsystems that translate electrical signals, sent from standard networks over copper lines, into light that travels on fiber-optic lines. It’s a complicated business that required 45,000 sq. ft. advanced technology facility, built by a smart partner, Ondra-Huyett.
One specific real estate developer has partnered with Ondra-Huyett since 1997, with numerous successful commercial construction projects standing in testament to a partnership built on trust. Charged with developing a property that would house the 45,000 sq. ft. Cenix Optoelectronics Facility, the nationally recognized firm again reached out to our teams. Among the very demanding proprietary requirements, the building would include 30,000 sq. ft. of space devoted to the manufacturing of integrated optical subsystems, 15,000 sq. ft. of executive and administrative areas for optoelectronic design functions and an attached 3,000 sq. ft. mechanical building. Heavy demands and a challenging project schedule were not only met, but exceeded the client’s expectations.
