The second floor N2 was the last of the six floors to be renovated in the North Building. With a total square footage of 25,200 the design elements that went into N2 were more upscale than on previous floors. N2 was to serve as home to Human Resources and ISD Department.
The project included a complete demolition of all existing finishes and mechanical systems. The design for this floor differed from other floors with individual offices around the perimeter. In order to maintain the open feeling however, the offices were designed with glass entry walls to project an air of openness and accessibility. Solid cherry wood trim and doors were utilized throughout the space along with acoustical fabric panels and upscale ceilings with custom lighting.
Thousands of feet of custom wood trim and brass fixtures were the themes throughout the floor. In addition to new mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression and electrical infrastructure and fixtures, a sound masking system was installed for privacy and security reasons.
The project was delivered on-time and under budget.
