It began in 2003 with the client’s desire to replace their antiquated, run down base lodge with a first-class facility, focusing on client satisfaction. What started out as a modest concept quickly developed into a first-class facility including a ski rental building, base lodge and 53 hotel rooms, beautifully appointed with rustic charm.

In less than two years after completing the initial build, Bear Creek’s burgeoning business needed to be expanded. Requiring more space Phase II added hotel rooms, an outdoor pool, a full spa and additional conference and meeting space as well as expansion to the restaurant, ski school and ski rental areas.

It also became evident that if Bear Creek Mountain Resort was going to add to their offerings and double their hotel and conference space, storage and maintenance functions would need to be addressed as well.

Ondra-Huyett worked with the owner and design teams to build a three story maintenance and storage facility which would also house some corporate offices, a fabrication shop, Ski Patrol and First Aid.

Today the lodge, conference center, spa and hotel exceeds 200,000 square feet and provides everyone who visits an experience not soon forgotten.
